Due to its location in the subtropical climate, Marseille has mild winters and warm, although sometimes even hot, summers. Summer in Marseille might seem unbearable due to the temperatures, but the sea breeze is effective in reducing any unpleasantness associated with it, allowing residents to enjoy the summer to the fullest. Aix-Marseille Université was created from the amalgamation of three universities, making it the largest university in the French-speaking world today. It has six campuses throughout the city, and its alumni are appreciated around the world. There are also four grande école in Marseille; Ecole Centrale de Marseille, École pour l’informatique et les nouvelles technologies, KEDGE Business School and Institut polytechnique des sciences avancées.

The city offers a wide variety of sports teams and institutions. Today, Olympique de Marseille, a football team that has a lot of success in its history and is a highly respected team, is definitely in the lead.
